Each of the modules in the Youtube for Yoga Teachers course walks you through one of the steps in the 8 steps to video success. 


You’ll get video lessons, templates, checklists, spreadsheets, examples and tutorials to help you build the foundation of your YouTube channel, step-by-step. This is a self-paced course – the lessons are not offered in real time, so every student may be in a different stage of the path.

Course Content
Module 1: SET UP

The first step to getting starting on Youtube is setting your intention and of course setting up up your channel. Here, you'll get familiar with the basics of YouTube as a consumer and as a creator. We'll get your equipment and space set up specific for yoga teaching.


Lessons include: Why YouTube, YouTube overview, studio overview, customizing your channel, required equipment, and setting up your space.


Module 2: PLAN

Before we begin the fun part of recording your videos, you must figure out what it is you want to share. In the plan phase, we'll develop a schedule, choose your content pillars, create a brainstorm list, and write a script for your first few videos.


Lessons include: Google Drive, develop a schedule, content brainstorm & research, planning your first 8 videos, video scripting, and short yoga class planning.

Module 3: CREATE

Lights, camera, action! In module 3, you'll learn how to record and edit your video content. We keep it simple, quick but effective. Whether you have iPhone or Android, Mac or Windows, you'll learn to record and edit in a SHORT amount of time. My goal through this phase is to save you time and make it simple.


Lessons Include: recording, editing, music, compressing, and uploading to YouTube.

Module 4: OPTIMIZE

We want your videos to show up in search results. For that, we have to make your videos stand out with key words and searchable titles, description, tag and thumbnails. It's called "Search Engine Optimization" or SEO for short. This module dives into the work you'll do on Youtube behind-the-scenes before hitting publish on your video.


Lessons Include: titles, thumbnails, tags, description, cards & end screens, and scheduling to publish. 

Module 5: SHARE
There's more to publishing a video on YouTube than simply making it public. In module 5, you'll discover many ways to get your video seen by as many people as possible – social media, email, blog posts, and more. You'll also learn how to check traffic sources to understand the best ways for you to share your videos.

Lessons include: Announcing your channel, writing promo emails, share on social media, creating a blog post, create playlists, update past videos, and checking on traffic sources.
Module 6: ENGAGE
Once you publish and optimize your video, you're not quite done. There's more to YouTube than content creation. This module will show you the best ways to engage with your audience through likes, comments and messages both on and off of YouTube.

Lesson includes: likes & comments, commenting on other videos, communicating off youtube, and naming your channel.
Module 7: MONETIZE
If you're using YouTube to grow your brand and business, making money is an important factor. Adsense (Youtube's monetization method) is only one of the many ways that you can earn income from YouTube. In fact, we don't even focus on "adsense" specifically. This module will teach you the methods beyond Adsense that YouTube can help you earn money in your yoga business.

Lessons Include: Adsense, affiliate marketing, building your email list, business beyond YouTube.
Module 8: REVIEW
The final module of this YouTube course will walk you through reviewing your video and channel analytics. You'll learn the metrics that truly matter and the trends you should be looking out for. After reviewing, we start the whole process over again.

Lessons include: Checking analytics, analytics that matter, reviewing in incognito, and checking in with yourself.

  • What do I get when I join?
    As soon as you join, you’ll get immediate access to the course content on the Teachable platform, access to the private FB group and the schedule & Zoom link for our live calls. If you joined during the early access period, modules of the course will be released each week.
  • What if I can't join the live calls?
    Whether it’s timezone or scheduling issues, if you cannot join live for the monthly calls, no worries! The replays and materials of each workshop will be available in the course portal shortly after it concludes. Hang out in our private group for more community interaction.
  • What apps will I need?
    You’ll need a free Zoom account for the live sessions and Teachable for the membership portal. Anyone can login and access Teachable through a web browser. Teachable app is only available on iOS. Materials are downloadable. You'll see videos, downloadable PDFs, Google docs, and Google sheets.
  • How long will it take to finish the program?
    I know your time is valuable and the last thing I want to do is give you more to do. The lessons are short and get to the point as quick as possible. My goal is to save you time and frustration. It can take you as little as a week to work through the material, or a few weeks if you want to take your time and go through every resource and guide.

    Many students report going through the program in about 4 weeks if consumed intentionally, a little bit every day. If the live training schedule does not fit your calendar, come back again when you are ready. You have lifetime access.
